January 30, 2007 Meeting

 

Minutes from the December 12, 2006 Board meeting were approved.

 

The following Finance recommendations were approved:

v     financial reports for all funds, Budget Modification report and the Check Payment Register report for December 2006. 

v     resolution to accept the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorize the necessary tax levies and certify them to the County Auditor.

 

The following Personnel recommendations were approved:

Resignation                  

v     Mary Topolski, Secretary at Hale Road Elementary, effective January 5, 2007.

v     Debra Piatak, Assistant Cook at Hadden Elementary, effective January 5, 2007. 

v     Jason Willhoite, Freshman Boys’ Baseball Coach.

Leave of Absence             

v     Monique Zentgraf, Teacher at Madison Ave. Elementary, unpaid maternity leave effective September 27, 2006 through January 2, 2007.

Transfer                     

v     Beth Thomas, from Cashier to Assistant Cook at Hadden Elementary, effective January 22, 2007.

v     Tammi Bush, from Lunchroom Assistant at Melridge Elementary to Cashier at Hadden Elementary, effective January 29, 2007.

The following Program recommendation was approved:

v     Resolution to submit an application requesting approval from the Ohio Department of Education for a waiver day on November 6, 2007 (Election Day).

 

The following Buildings & Grounds/Operations recommendations were approved:

v     Adoption of Bylaw 0141.2 – Membership

v     Resolution determining to provide public notice of the intended sale of certain real estate owned by the Board of the Painesville Township Local School District.

 

 

This ends all official action by the Board of Education.
