Madison Avenue Elementary School is 78 years young!  Several of our staff members live in our neighborhood and others attended Madison Avenue as students.  We have an enrollment of just under 400 children, including Kindergarten through 5th grade.  There are approximately 40 full and part time staff members that work diligently to provide a variety of learning opportunities that will develop each student’s knowledge, skills, creative thinking, confidence, and character development in a nurturing and caring environment.  Our energetic staff strives to inspire and prepare students for the immediate future as well as to become life long learners through daily engaging educational activities.

All students participate in Computer Lab, Physical Education, Instrumental Music, Art, and Library Programs on a weekly basis and Character Development throughout the year.  Our fifth graders are given the opportunity to take part in band and/or choir.

Madison Avenue School Community Organization (M.A.S.C.O.) has been incredibly supportive financially, as well as, with actual hands-on time and energy.   Projects that are organized by our Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O.) officers and Committee Chairs include the Fall Festival, Spaghetti Dinner, Pizza Bingo, Fundraisers, Muffins for Moms, Doughnuts for Dads, Teacher Appreciation meals and gifts, Market Day, Field Day and skating parties.  Some of the M.A.S.C.O. purchases consist of; the cost of field trip transportation, ceiling fans, a sound system, amplification systems, office furniture, SMART Boards, LCD projectors, computers, contributions to Senior Citizen Dinners, P.T.E.E.F. donations, Summer School Scholarships and the 5th Grade Picnic.

Parents are visible throughout the school and provide essential volunteer support, which is a key ingredient to success!  Parents and family members work as homeroom helpers, tutors, Library assistants, and Ohio Reads volunteers.

I am always available to assist you in anyway I can…so, please feel free to email, call, or stop by the office!  Stars fill the hallways and classrooms of Madison Avenue—HOME of the ASTROS!  Our students, staff, and parents shine with pride each day.  We believe that TOGETHER, we can create success and make a difference in each child’s life.  If it is the STARS that you are seeking, look no further than….
